Now, back to Asia, he is very active in global trading, investment, venture capital, consumer credit, insurance, manufacturing, consulting, project development and management, vocational and professional training, agricultural and forestry development, eco-tourism and recently in fintech and digital economy.

Mr. Van, a Canadian with more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing, broad knowledge in banking, finance, fund raising, international trading for the import and export of commodities globally, as well as great relationships with clients from around the world. He is very active in promoting technology for the environment and energy sector. In addition, he also has strong relationships with many governments in Asia, Africa and North America. A senior private sector development specialist and an advisor on health, agriculture, sustainability and investment facilitation. Having worked in Southeast Asia for over 30 years, Joseph has led numerous agricultural and responsible sourcing initiatives, including large multinationals (Mars, Nike, WFP), in labour, environment and biodiversity compliance.

He joined Lao Brewery Company (Beerlao) as Commercial Advisor for a while before retiring from the industry. Lastly, he started Malao Travels in Vientiane Laos since 2009.
